Next morning we went on a bush outreach. First we drove to a town on the edge of the bush, in two small pickup trucks. Six people in each of the truck cabs, and then another seven guys in the back of one of the trucks (which had a blown and badly knocking engine) and everyone's stuff and equipment in the back of the other. The asphalt roads here are like a minefield – very deep potholes!

After a 90 minute drive we arrived at the school. We dropped our stuff off nearby
at another guest house and then we went across the street to the school that is
set up for the bush near there.

Some of these Fulani kids walk for three hours each way to get there!

Evidence of being in the bush - here is the housing right behind.

The first classroom

Not the fun class I guess.

The second classroom

And the third

The fourth one was lively

This kid really was funny.

and this one, shy.

Yep, we are still Aggies

We met Buba, the boy that we sponsor. He was super shy.

Turns out that twice now he has left the school for a while and then returned.
I wonder if he was ashamed of that or something?
