Camera blackout...

Day 6, Nov 29
Slept in at the Big Blue. Today was our souvenier shopping, reading, and relaxing day in the Cape. Nick and I went to Century City (Canal Walk) mall, an extravagant, pricey mall that at least looked really cool. We were shopping for Christmas gifts for family. I did manage to talk some people down on some gifts. We had lunch at Nando's, and we talked about our futures - Nick and Colleen, and so on. Went to two other malls, no good. Finally we went to the open-air marketplace in downtown. We also saw many stores that had old tribal stuff like masks and the double-headed dog thingy and so on that was no doubt spiritually dark.
For dinner we met up with a local South Afrikan, Anthony, wo was a friend of a friend (Austin and Justin from Orlando). He was late picking us up because he stopped to help a lady who was mugged. Hetook us to a really cool burger place that makes very unique burgers. I had the big bird, an ostrich burger with some kinda purple sauce. His friend and girlfriend? then wanted to go to the bar next door so we did go in, but the 4 of us just played phoosball while they did their thing, then Anthony took us home. Anthony was quite a cool guy. I started reading a good book.

Day 7, Nov 3
Back to the airport - fun fast and furious driving on the N2 when no traffic was around. Picked up a smooth Volkswagon Golf for the Johannesburg side of the trip. And off we went to Krueger.
